The Planetary Party
It was the summer of 2020.
The world was in chaos.
But tucked away in a pocket of Florida, a group of artists gathered secretly.
Together, we found inspiration, camaraderie, and even love.
This day was cosmic.
I spent it poolside, floating in the middle of a swarm of dragonflies.
Transported by my friends making music. One of the lucky few witnessing so much magic- outnumbered by the grooviest musicians in town.
A rare and unique planet parade took place that night. All the planets of the Solar System – Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, plus Pluto – lined up on one side of the sun at the same time. The last time this same event took place was in 1982.
We watched the full moon and all it’s buddies in the rain.
It was also the last time I fell in love.
A sta-shattering occurrence.
Collapsing under our gravitational attraction.
And the next day I woke up and wrote this poem…
The Planetary Party
Discussing the subtleties of condensation
Dissipation of mental constipation
A Dispensation of clarity
Clairvoyant
Mentally buoyant
Triumphant transcendental jubilation
Celestial shifts
Stir consequential rifts
And the bullshit drifts away
Float on with your bad self
Recognize the evidence of evolution
A revolution of soul
Taking control of my deposit of energy
Existing synergistically
Hypnosis via symbiosis
We are all in harmony
